The Director of Finance is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the Town Supervisor. Under New York State Town Law, the Director of Finance is vested with the responsibility of managing all of the details relating to the fiscal operations of the Town. Such operations include budgeting, accounting and investment oversight. 

 Working with the Town department heads, the Supervisor and the Town Board, the Director develops and monitors the Town’s annual budget. The Town is on a calendar fiscal year and the budget is traditionally adopted in early November but must be adopted no later than December 20th.  

Also under the Finance umbrella are the Town’s Human Resource functions. These functions include payroll and benefit administration; employee relations; and policy development and training.
