The Town of Henrietta is taking the next step in becoming an Audubon International Green Community. We continue to maintain our involvement in the Audubon International Sustainable Communities Program and in 2008 received the Green Community Award. Using existing projects and plans the Town has in place, we are now on the path to becoming a Sustainable Community, a distinction that has yet to be earned by a community in New York State, and we would like to become the first!
Through the ongoing program, the community will establish priorities, develop sustainability objectives for our plans, and take actions that will lead to meaningful results that enhance the community for the residents that live here.
For the next step in the process we need your help! Please access the survey link indicated below to access the “Treasuring Home Survey”. This survey link is an opportunity for your input on what sustainable practices you currently use and the direction you’d like the community to take. With the support of Audubon International, the results will help us with future decisions in enhancing the natural environment, health, and quality of life in Henrietta.
Please access the “Treasuring Home Survey” at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/8V6RPLW and follow the instructions.
This survey should take approximately ten to fifteen minutes of your time to complete, and will help Henrietta progress closer to becoming an Audubon International Certified Sustainable Community! Please complete the survey by April 2, 2017 to ensure that your responses are included. You can also fill out a hard copy of the “Treasuring Home Survey” at the Henrietta Town Hall, Henrietta Public Library, or at the Henrietta Senior Center. Another option would be to follow the link on the Town’s website at http://www.henrietta.org.
