October 2024's Featured Artist

The 2024 Seeing Henrietta Through Your Eyes Contest received a number of creative, thoughtful, and thought-provoking submissions. The Contest Committee carefully considered each submission to identify images that met the contest criteria and reflected a variety of perspectives on Henrietta. The Committee selected twelve winning entries from four local artists that will be displayed as the banner photo on the town web site, one each month, every month in 2024.

OCTOBER

October's winning entry was submitted by Barbara A. Barg with the following description: "I love all the seasons, but fall in Henrietta is a favorite! (Photo taken on a walk in the neighborhood, October 2022.)"

SEPTEMBER

September's winning entry was submitted by Carol Baldwin with the following description: "Walking through Tinker Park the beautiful blend of colors in this leaf and it’s background caught my eye and warmed my heart!"

AUGUST

August's winning entry was submitted by Ed Muszynski with the following description: "“Music keeps playing inside your head” (lyrics by the great Carole King). Love summer concerts in the Veterans Memorial Park!!"

JULY

July's winning entry was submitted by Cindy Bacchetta with the following description: "Families in Henrietta look forward to the annual fireworks at Town Park. My children loved going as I did. It's a wonderful meaningful community event."

JUNE

June's winning entry was submitted by Jenny Miranda with the following description: "One of our favorite activities is to explore the many trails and parks in Henrietta. The image captures one of our adventure days enjoying the great outdoors in our town!"

MAY

May's winning entry was submitted by Bill Brown with the following description: "Morning fog in Veterans Memorial Park."

APRIL

April's winning entry was submitted by Cynthia Rich with the following description: "Tinker Park is a wonderland of birds and wildlife for everyone to enjoy! A pair of Pileated woodpeckers made their home at Tinker last spring!"

MARCH

March's winning entry was submitted by Julia Cougle of the Lynn Neill Memorial Garden with the following description: "Lynn was a beloved HPL employee. I never knew her, but I have seen the intense impact she had on my coworkers when they were creating this garden in her memory."

FEBRUARY

February's winning entry was submitted by Pam Grundman with the following description: "Autumn sunset."

JANUARY

January's winning entry was submitted by Jenny Miranda with the following description: "This picture was taken days before the former Henrietta Public Library was taken down. An end of an era and the beginning of a bright future.”
